How do I use the "Advanced Search" feature in the new catalog?

Answer

The Advanced Search is a great tool to return more specialized results or help narrow down your search!

From the main catalog page (http://go.gbc.edu/library), click on the "Advanced Search" link in the gold bar.

The Advanced Search results page has several options.

1. Use the drop-down menus in this box to narrow your search by subject, author, title, publisher, ISBN and more.

2. Check the boxes in this field to limit your search results to a specific item type (DVD, book, etc.).

3. Use this box to indicate a specific publication date or date range. For example, you can type 2010-2015 to only receive results published between these dates.

4. Use this box to adjust how search results are displayed. For example, you can sort by author (A-Z or Z-A) or publication date (newest to oldest or oldest to newest).
