How do I register for the Information Literacy Assessment Program (ILA) on Teachable?

Accessing the Information Literacy Program

1. Navigate to gbc.libguides.com

2. On the navigation menu, select the Graduate Students (MBA or DBA students) (#1 below) or Undergraduate Students - Information Literacy Assessment (#2 below) (ILA) Program page, as shown below. 

3. Click the link that says, "Please visit this link to create your account," as shown below. 

Please note: The link is different for Graduate and Undergraduate students. 

 


Enrolling in the ILA Program 

1. To enroll in the program, click the Enroll Now button as shown below. 

Please note: If you have taken the GBC Zoom training course, then you already have a Teachable account. Please log into that account to enroll in the Information Literacy Program course. If not, please follow the steps below to create your free account today. Register with your GBC email Address. 


2. Next, enter your Full Name (#1 below). 

3. Use your GBC Email Address (#2 below) for your account. 

4. Next, create a password (#3 below) and enter it in the Confirm Password (#4 below) text box. 

5. Optionally, you can click I agree to receive instructional and promotional emails (#5 below). 

6. Next, click the checkbox for I agree to Goldey Beacom College's Terms of Use & Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use & Privacy Policy of the course platform (#6 below). 

7. Finally, click sign-up to create your account (#7 below). Please note, you will automatically be enrolled in all 12 modules. 


Completing the Information Literacy Program

1. The ILA Program consists of a pre-test, post-test, and 10 modules. After enrolling in the ILA program, your first step is to click the Start next lecture button to begin the pre-test, as shown below. 

2. After completing a question, click Check to go to the next question, as shown below. 

3. Once a module is finished, click the Complete and Continue button in the upper right-hand corner, as shown below.

4. After completing the pre-test, ten learning modules, and post-test, you will be granted a certificate and entered into a raffle. Please note, you can stop and return to the modules at any time. However, you must complete each module in order.
